And on top of fetishizing homosexuality, she’s stereotyping it as well. Let’s say she were to have a gay son - who’s to say that son will want nail polish? Who’s to say that he’ll want feminine clothing? Who’s to say that he’ll like going shopping? Finding out that somebody is gay should not result in instantly stripping them of their personal identity, and replacing it with the identity that you think all people in that group should have. Being a gay male does not automatically make you feminine.
Yes, there are some gay males who are feminine. There are also straight males who are feminine. There are also gay males who are extremely masculine. Your sexuality does not define the way you think, act, or dress.
If you have a son who comes out to you, do you know what you do? You treat him life a fucking person, not like a stereotype.

That’s not how parenting works. It’s one thing to be supportive of your (hypothetical) son or daughter, it’s another thing altogether to use their sexuality to stereotype or objectify them.
